Why we breed and expected litters

NEWSFLASH Puppies born February 16th 2012

People ask me why we breed so before you go forward to look at cute puppy photos I wanted to share with you our breeding philosophy and a letter from one of our puppy owners

We breed to improve the breed.  We show, so we are looking for improvements in our dogs that for most pet owners wont mean a lot to you. But what does mean a lot is that we breed to improve structure and health, and we stand behind every puppy.

If we can purchase better from another breeder, than what our breeding would produce, we DONT breed.   We breed for temperament, power, substance, grace and breed type. Many a terrific show pup has gone to a pet home because GOOD HOMES are our top priority for our pups.

What makes it all worth while is not the ribbons and the championships (those are good too) but this is why we breed and when we get letters like this one we know it is all worth it!

"I don't know if its the area were from, or that perhaps whippets just aren't that well known... but EVERYBODY who has seen the pups are just as much in love with them as we are :)  My children are the icing on our family cake, and the pups must be the sprinkles... we love them to death and they are now part of our family.   These two little girls have been a very bright star in our lives this year... thank you for sharing your family with ours.  "

Our puppies making families happy is the best reason that we do this! It takes a well bred quality puppy to make sure that this feeling lasts a good long time.

Enjoy looking at our whippet puppies below.
